Independence

PersonalComputer.com is not affiliated with any hardware maker, retailer or AI company. No manufacturer reviews or approves our pages before publication, and no placement on this site is paid for.

Sourcing

  • Every spec and price links to the page it came from, with the date we checked it.
  • We prefer primary sources: manufacturer spec pages, official press releases, model cards and maker stores. When a figure is only available from a secondary source (for example GPU memory bandwidth from Wikipedia's series tables), we say so next to the figure.
  • Calculated figures (for example bandwidth from bus width × memory speed) are labelled as calculated.

How we use TBD

If we cannot verify a spec, price or result from a source we have read ourselves, we mark it TBD rather than estimate it. TBD items are replaced only when a source is found, and the page's update date changes when they are.

Estimates and assumptions

Our tools estimate memory use and theoretical speed ceilings. These are labelled as estimates, explained in the methodology, and never presented as benchmarks. Planning assumptions (such as how much unified memory a GPU can use) are stated wherever they are used.

Reviews and testing

We do not publish reviews of products we have not tested. Pages about untested products are labelled spec overviews. Benchmark tables stay empty (TBD) until we run a documented test or can cite a reproducible public one.

Affiliate links and advertising

The site currently has no affiliate links or ads. If we add them, affiliate links will be labelled, and commercial relationships will not affect which products we list or how we describe them. This page will be updated before any such change.

Corrections

When we find or are told about an error, we fix it, update the page date and record significant changes on the corrections page.
